Snow Patrol

Snow Patrol are an alternative rock band from Bangor, Country Down, Northern Ireland

The Group was formed in 1994 in Dundee by vocalist and guitarist Gary Lightbody, and bassist and keyboardist Mark McClelland, two students of Ireland of the North who were studying at the University of the city. Later drummer John Quinn would add to the training.

The band's first three records, the EP Starfighter Pilot (1997), and the studio albums Songs for Polarbears (1998) and When It's All Over We Still Have to Clear Up (2001), were commercially unsuccessful and were released by the independent labels Electric Honey and Jeepster respectively. The band then signed on to the major record label Polydor Records in 2002.

Snow Patrol rose to national fame with their major label debut, Final Straw, in 2003. The album was certified 5x platinum in the UK and eventually sold over 3 million copies worldwide. Their next studio album, Eyes Open, (2006) and its hit single "Chasing Cars", propelled the band to greater international fame. The album topped the UK Album Charts and was the best-selling British album of the year, selling over 6 million copies worldwide. In 2008, the band released their fifth studio album A Hundred Million Suns and in 2009 their first compilation album, Up to Now.

During the course of their career, Snow Patrol have won five Meteor Ireland Music Awards and have been nominated for three BRIT Awards. Since the release of Final Straw, the band have sold over ten million albums worldwide

Cada gesto cuenta una historia

Cuando pensamos en lenguaje y comunicación generalmente pensamos en hablar. Pero nuestros gestos y movimientos, en otras palabras nuestro lenguaje corporal, dice mucho más sobre nosotros que nuestras palabras. Lenguaje corporal nos dice lo que los otros realmente piensan o sienten también.

Un psicólogo experto dice que sólo el 7% de la comunicación que hacemos lo decimos con palabras, mientras que el 93 % proviene de señales silenciosas. Los niños lo entienden naturalmente, pero cuando crecen, el énfasis pasa a las palabras y pierden la habilidad de recoger estas señales silenciosas. Los adultos se convierten en muy buenos diciendo cosas que no tienen un significado necesariamente. El lenguaje corporal trabaja junto con lenguaje verbal, pero a veces los dos pueden ser contradictorios. Por ejemplo, un individuo puede decir que esta de acuerdo contigo, pero al mismo tiempo está inclinando su silla de vuelta. Pero físicamente alejándose de usted, expresa su desacuerdo.

"Algunas personas son extremadamente buenas con el lenguaje corporal mintiendo," dice el psicólogo. Por ejemplo, los políticos aprenden a usar ciertos gestos para crear la impresión correcta. Pero no son tan exitosas como ellos esperan. Antes de creer lo que ve en el rostro de una persona debe avanzar más hacia atrás para ver su cuerpo entero. Cuanto más observe la cara de la gente, usted será más veraz.

Algunos gestos faciales, los hacemos instintivamente. Por ejemplo, las pupilas de nuestros ojos se dilatan cuando somos atraídos por alguien. Tanto el lenguaje corporal sucede inconscientemente. Si queremos utilizar y comprender gestos con éxito tenemos que ser conscientes de ellos y sus significados diferentes. Observar el lenguaje corporal en nosotros mismos y en otros nos ayuda a comunicarnos mejor. Si aprende a descifrar y usar el lenguaje corporal bien, será como hablar con él con lenguaje verbal.

False alarm

If I was Jennifer, had run for my life through the corridors shouting desperately, after he had breathed and tried to calm myself to be in an optimal state and thereby help students in the building were desperate and distressed by the fire alarm , Seeing that the school guard did nothing because he was in a state of impact, realizing that the situation was already being controlled me, Jennifer, had decided to address to my  home, taking a few pills, feed my dog nice and neat and so I expected to sleep peacefully after this false fire alarm in my workplace
